Scope of this Standard

Specifies the minimum requirements for Class A dry-barrel fire hydrants with compression shut-off (opening against pressure) for use in water supply services in Trinidad and Tobago. Included are requirements for materials, design, performance, testing and labelling. The standard does not apply to: a) Class B and Class C dry - barrel fire hydrants; and b) Wet - barrel (flush-type) fire hydrants.
